The BODFather's Punk Birthday Bash

The Rose & Crown was again to venue for the most memorable of parties. It was transformed back to 1979 and the whole place was packed with punks for one night only.

The new special punk play list was high energy and really great to play. It appeared from the numbers dancing that the crowd thought the same.

Ian Dury’s Sweet Gene Vincent is fast becoming a BOD classic but other such songs as Pretty Vacant, Babylon’s Burning, Sound of the Suburbs. Ever Fallen In Love With and the enigmatic Gary Gilmore’s Eyes also work well for the band. It’s certainly not the last time these classics will be played.

The band also got fully into the theme with some great outfits and make up. It helped produce an authentic Punk set fortunately without the often accompanying spit back in the day.

Most of all the Bodfather was able to have the most memorable of celebrations with his choice of music and friends.

Roll on the next themed event!
