B.O.D is a musical collective that form into Bands and raise funds for good causes and help good causes raise funds. 

The Beginning

B.O.D. (Band of Dads) started as a collection of Dads from Cuckfield, West Sussex, who all loved rock, punk, indie, and rock n roll. While meeting at the school gates and at the pub they discovered each other’s musical talents and decided to put them to good use and form a band.  With the addition of our DJ, we were now able to offer a complete evening of entertainment.

Chapter One “Cuckfield”

That was the birth of our first Chapter B.O.D Cuckfield.   Things soon moved on as people discovered they quite liked us, and landlords discovered Beer sales went up when we played.  We soon realised that there were a lot more people like us out there.  People wanted to join us, and put something back into the community, while at the same time being involved in a positive musical environment.  We were soon joined by our first Mum and expanded our line-up to include Keyboards and on occasion Bag Pipes.

Chapter Two “The Second Chapter”

Then we discovered that quite often Family, work and other social events meant that we were turning down more gigs than we could do.  So, we spoke to some of our talented friends and persuaded them to learn our Core set list.  Then if anyone was not available for a gig, we had other team members who could fill in.  Soon we had nearly enough people for a second band.  B.O.D The Second Chapter was born.  The Second Chapter are developing into a slightly Rockier version of B.O.D Cuckfield but are still guaranteed to deliver a great evening’s entertainment.

Chapter Three “Coming Soon!!!”

Now that Chapter Two is well established and performing complete gigs on their own, it is time to expand the B.O.D family and look to Chapter 3. As well as supporting good causes we give a safe, non judgmental environment for people to enjoy music together and get opportunities to play live.
