Band of Dads, affectionately known as B.O.D, began as a musical collective with a simple mission: to turn good times into good causes.

We form into bands to raise money for charities – and to help charities raise money for themselves. Whether it's a local fundraiser or a national cause, we bring the music, the energy, and the community spirit.

Our secret? We deliver a guaranteed great night out – complete with a live band bringing the tunes and a DJ keeping the party alive while the band takes a well-earned break at the bar.

We call it Partying With a Purpose – and this is just the beginning.

Chapter One “Cuckfield”

This is where it all began.

B.O.D Cuckfield was the original spark – a group of local dads picking up instruments, making noise, and having a laugh. But it didn’t take long for things to grow. People started to take notice… and so did the pubs (turns out beer sales go up when we play – who knew?).

Before we knew it, the gigs got bigger, the crowd got louder, and we realised something important – we weren’t alone. There were loads more people like us out there. People who wanted to give back, be part of something positive, and make music with a purpose.

That’s when the idea of chapters was born.

The Cuckfield chapter kept growing, and not just in size – but in diversity. We welcomed our first Mum into the band, added keyboards, and even had the occasional guest appearance on bagpipes (yes, really!).

From that small start in Cuckfield, a movement began – one that’s all about music, community, and good times with a purpose.

Chapter Two “Second Chapter”

As Band of Dads grew in popularity, we hit a good problem – we were getting offered more gigs than we could handle. Between family life, work commitments, and the occasional dad-duty emergency, we were having to say no more than we wanted.

So, we came up with a plan.

We reached out to some of our talented friends, handed them our core setlist, and asked them to join the cause. What started as a way to fill in the gaps quickly grew into something bigger. Before long, we had enough rockers to form a whole new band.

That’s how B.O.D Second Chapter was born.

Second Chapter brings their own flavour to the BOD sound – a little louder, a little rockier, but with the same energy, purpose, and promise to deliver a night to remember.

Just like the original, they play with heart, they play for charity, and they definitely know how to bring the party.

Chapter Three “Coming Soon!!!”

With Chapter Two now fully established and rocking full gigs on their own, it’s time to grow the B.O.D family once again.

We’re officially on the lookout for the next wave of music-loving dads (and mums!) to help us launch Chapter Three.
