The Wivelfield Bonfire Party Saturday October 12th 2019
Wivelsfield not only stepped up in terms of their fireworks display but also the entertainment with BOD playing on the main stage in the run up to the big show.
Not even the weather could dampen eveyone’s enthusiasm to create a party atmosphere ably abetted by BOD’s very own DJ Black (until an infiltrator from the firework organisers stole his thunder and speakers).
A stage made for us
We were able to warm the crowd with some pulsating renditions of our crowd-pleaser tracks. The show stopper was I Predict a Riot with the arrival of the 3 fire eaters on stilts in front of the stage. It was great to create such a spectacle and we would be keen to welcome them back although we did have to convince George that it probably didn’t lend itself to indoor venues! What fire risk George?
The fireworks continued a great evening with a large contingent dancing the night away afterwards in heavy rain. Evidently nothing could dampen theirs or BOD’s spirits!
Going Underground was a fitting epitaph to the evening. Anything to get out of the then torrential rain.
