BODFest 2022 26th November 2022

Well what can we say beyond the fact that BODFest 2022 was the best yet and went with a bang!

Strong pre-sales ensured there would be a packed Queens Hall and any remaining tickets were quickly bought on the door.

BOD 1 started proceedings with a slick, strong set of some of their regular crowd pleasers to get the party started.

Missy G was able to ramp it up more with some "bangers" before BOD 2 took to the stage with a rockier set of new and old tunes. They elevated the crowd to a new level with songs like Teenage Dirtbag, The Final Countdown and then surprised everyone with a classic version of Sweet Caroline. By that stage, even the most reticent of dancers and singers were giving it everything.

DJ Steve Black was able to maintain the energy of the evening before BOD 1 launched into their second set with some new gems. Perhaps the most surprising event was the introduction of Kieran, our new sax player for big crowd pleasers like Tequila and Born To Run.

Born To Run proved to be a masterstroke as young and old alike surged forward to join the mosh and heighten the intense buzz of the night.

Mr Brightside, Common People and Sex On Fire pushed the excitement levels even higher.

The evening was completed by both BODs taking the stage for the final song of Hey Jude with the crowd joining in with words, lights and arms to create a memorable and sensational end to the evening.

The event raised record profits for local charities through tickets, the bar and the ever popular BOD T-shirts (both BOD 1 and BOD 2 versions are now available).
