Back in Ansty - Friday January 28th 2022

BOD returned to Ansty Village Hall on the 28th of January and everyone was treated to a vintage performance with great sound quality. BOD delivered and once again, showed their versatility by being able to replace the stand in drummer with their original drummer on the morning of the event due to a positive test.

Covid can’t stop BOD in its tracks although it made a great effort at their Wivelsfield gig just before Christmas when 6 members had their Christmas plan scuppered after what was thought to be a safe outside venue. Who said a life in music was dangerous ?…………..Well most of our wives for sure!!!!

The venue is great for these types of events as it’s capacity of 120 makes for an intimate evening with the bar never far away. Even with dry January, the regular BODites could not be deterred from coming along and letting their hair down. New Ansty attendees all seemed to enjoy the mix of older and newer music and most if not all were prised away from their seats at some point or other during the evening.

There was certainly a wide choice of genres to appeal to all those there from rock ‘n’ roll to punk to indie to new wave and so mush more. The full entertainment package was truly on show.

Again, DJ Black added a long list of classics to ensure an active dancefloor.

We greatly look forward to the next event. See you all soon.
